DAV BOOK(CLASS-8)THE UNDESERVED REWARD(CH-10)LIFE SKILLS

A. Every deserving or anamnestic act must be acknowledged and rewarded. Only when this is done, then the person who did the act feel motivated to continue doing such deeds. Similarly, if you plan to reward for an act done by him/her, you must ensure that the act done is meritorious and really needs to be appreciated with a reward. This encourages the person to carry on doing such acts. A reward for an act that is expected from a person has absolutely no significance.

B. Intellect involves reasoning and understanding something before making a decision whereas conscious is that feeling that guides one in making decisions. If decisions are made out of conscious alone then the decision maker will not put into consideration the consequences of his or her decisions. Therefore, it is important for intellect to be used since one is able to examine the feeling, understand the feeling and do appropriate reasoning before making decisions. Therefore, for appropriate decision making both intellect and conscious should be used.
